This week will be our 4th week of Work Experience. I am enjoying the Chemistry Lab a lot. We are learning lots of different things. Hopefully by the end of it I will have got a lot of experience of what type of work goes on in a chemistry lab and if I think I would like to do anything like it when I leave school. I am also looking forward to getting different types of work experience.

Walk in my Shoes

Last Friday, 10th of October 2014 was "Walk in my Shoes" day. We got to wear our own clothes but had to wear funky shoes. Some people wore funky slippers or weird looking shoes. The people with the funkiest shoes then got a prize. The purpose of wearing our funky shoes was for Mental Health Awareness Week. We all donated €2 towards this cause.

Work Experience

This Wednesday we are starting work experience. For the first session (10 weeks) I am going to be going to the Chemistry Lab in NUI Maynooth. I am very excited for it because I am really interested in science.

For the second session, after Christmas, I am going to be going to my old primary school, St Bridgets. I will be there for 6 weeks. I am going to a primary school because I have thought about being a primary school teacher so want to see if I would be able to deal with younger children.

And for the last one, I don't know!!! HA

I can't wait for the wonderful experience to see what it's going to be like in the working world :)
